Lorien Trust Live Role Playing

Occupational skills was an addition to the original Lorien Trust role playing system. The occupational skills were first introduced in 1998 and the system developed as a system for characters to advance in the system, being revised and released as a second edition in 2003.

Players earn Occupational Skill Points or OSP's by attending events run by or sanctioned by the Lorien Trust. The Heartland Games and Gathering will earn a player 10 OSP's the two faction moots 5 OSP's each and 1 OSP for each Sanctioned event attended. These points can then be traded in against a rank based system with the Guilds or at Games Control at any main Lorien Trust event.

The skills available in this way are divided by Guild into skill lists. These skills can be found in the booklet Occupational skills A Guide to Advancement. For more information on OSP's follow the link to the Rank and Experience section of the Lorien Trust Players Handbook. Alternatively, look in the Library for a full easy to download copy of Occupational Skill Points A Guide To Advancement in Pdf format.

The skills are Guild based and costed depending on your source of training so you do not need to be in the Guild to aquire a skill although this is the easiest and generally cheapest way to do so. To find out more about the Guilds look in the Campaign Setting.
