Campaign Setting

The Lorien Trust Campaign is run using the Lorien Role Playing System 2nd Edition. The campaign is run on the egg shaped world called Erdreja.

Erdreja is an egg shaped world floating in the Cosmic Void. Erdreja is a world shaped by magic over thousands of years and is inhabited by hundreds of races and cultures. Erdreja is a world where the sword rules and use of sorcery is power. Gunpowder does not exist, alchemy is the most advanced science and magic is used instead of technology for almost everything.
The campaign is set mainly within this fantasy world, within the Heartlands of Erdreja. Some characters may have travelled from other lands and Factions or even from other worlds but these are rare and usually not to be trusted.

As a player in the Erdrejan game world you play the role of character from these Heartlands, an area loosely based around 10th to 16th Century Europe of our history.

All the characters in the campaign are members of a Faction. The Factions are made up of a lord general who is or represents the ruler of a nation within or near the Heartlands, and the lords of various territories within these lands. As a character within these Factions you represent one of the leading members of the population of your chosen Factions lands.

As a member of a Faction and a group within that Faction you have the chance to gain rank and privilege within your own group and Faction and shape the way the world of Erdreja changes and grows. You also have a chance to learn new skills through the Guilds - a collection of people with certain skills brought together outside of the Factions' direct control.

You also have the chance to meet with members of the other Factions and nations of Erdreja at any of the events hosted within the campaign world.

All major events that take place in Erdreja do so at one of the four main Lorien trust events hosted every year, or at one of hundreds of sanctioned events hosted by the Factions and Guilds of the Campaign world every weekend throughout the year.
